Heat Pump Water Heaters

Heat pump water heaters use electricity to move heat from the air or ground to the water in the tank. Heat pump water heaters are more energy-efficient than conventional storage tank water heaters and can provide hot water for multiple uses at once. 

Heat pump water heaters' benefits include their energy efficiency, their ability to provide hot water for multiple uses at once, and their relatively low cost of operation. These are more expensive than conventional water heaters, though, and not quite as efficient as tankless models.

Solar Water Heaters

Solar water heaters use the energy from the sun to heat water, making them a highly energy-efficient option. Solar water heaters typically consist of a collector panel, a storage tank, and a backup heating system. 

The advantages of solar water heaters include their energy efficiency, their ability to provide hot water for multiple uses at once, and their low cost of operation. They only work in sunny areas, however.
